TASK 1 : LOGISTICS COMPANY (GERIMIS BAIDURI)

We are required to choose one logistics company and make some research about company structure based on its:

     1) Strategies and planning : we need to specify company strategies and planning that have been  implemented in its business.

     2) Inventory Management and Warehouse: to identify how the company manage their inventory.

     3) Purchasing an Order Processing : when the goods being purchase, we need to describe the order processing process.

     4) Transportation : to state how the movement of goods is managed by the company.

     5) Information Technology : the description about how the company providing the IT solutions in  order to improve visibility and control of product and information via the supply chain.


So we choose Gerimis Baiduri Sdn. Bhd to complete this task.

STRATEGIES AND PLANNING

IN-HOUSE WORKSHOP

It is an advantage for them as they are able to minimize their truck down time. It is because if there are anything happens, they can save cost by servicing their trucks by themselves and make it faster to be maintenance. 

DRIVERS TRAINING CENTRE

This training course focuses on Safe Driving to ensure that the drivers aware the importance of applying safe driving when transport the goods. It is also to ensure that the drivers have the driving ability that is a necessary for them, safety knowledge, and skills to drive their trucks with the most safety while being courteous and considerate towards other users of the road.

DRIVER'S CONDUCT

All of the drivers are strictly required to wear the company uniform, safety shoes and a safety vest when the drivers are on duty.

NO WAREHOUSE
